We offer turnkey systems, design solutions for global installations, or integrate existing projects to enhance their efficiency and functionality. The new production facility in Campogalliano is equipped with dedicated departments for manufacturing, assembly, testing, and quality control.
We combine handling systems with cutting-edge electronics for comprehensive production process management. In fact, we can integrate any system with pre-existing management systems. Our in-house team of mechanical and electrical designers utilizes the most advanced CAD, AutoCAD, and 3D systems. We develop operational and management software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
50 YEARS OF HISTORY
1968 Contec Foundation
Founded in 1968, during the peak of Italy's industrial development, Contec specialized in designing and manufacturing simple automation systems for a wide range of production sectors. Thanks to its efficient production capabilities, Contec quickly grew its brand, becoming a key reference in the automation market.
1985 Uteco Foundation
In 1985, Uteco took a significant leap forward. Strengthened by its growth and experience, the company decided to establish an in-house production facility capable of managing all phases of system construction. Thanks to continuous investments and the expertise gained over the years, Uteco experienced exponential growth and shifted its focus to advanced automation. By applying cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to product handling, the company developed high-performance palletizing systems featuring Cartesian-axis gantries and anthropomorphic robots.
1996 Birth of Uteco Contec
In 1996, after several years as a benchmark in the production of handling systems, Uteco decided to invest once again and expand its scope. Following a thorough analysis, the company chose to acquire a business that already possessed the necessary expertise and shared the same strong local identity as the Modena-based company. This marked the birth of Uteco Contec.
2005 New Campogalliano headquarters
In 2005, Uteco Contec reached another milestone. With continuous growth, the company needed a larger, more functional, and modern facility to support its expanding production. After careful evaluations and analyses, the strategic location of Campogalliano was chosen—just a step away from the customs office and the highway exit.
2006 Birth of the Internal Software Department
With the new headquarters came new challenges. That’s why, the following year in 2006, Uteco Contec decided to expand its organizational structure by establishing an in-house software department dedicated to designing and developing PC and PLC software specifically tailored to optimize industrial systems.
2009 Entry into the Automotive Sector and Global Expansion in Automotive Industry
Uteco Contec grows and in the following three years expands its business to other industrial sectors such as the hospital and urban waste sector until it enters the strategic Automotive sector. Thanks to the Automotive sector Uteco Contec signs several national and international installations with important partners leader in the sector becoming a point of reference for industrial automation in all countries of the world.
2018 50th Anniversary
In February 2018, Uteco Contec celebrated its 50th anniversary by unveiling a new logo, giving the company a more modern identity to carry into the future. At the same time, it further expanded its Campogalliano headquarters, adding 1,400 sqm to the assembly and production area and over 100 sqm of offices dedicated to after-sales service.
