Contec was founded during a period of industrial upheaval. The company quickly established itself as a specialist in material handling and conveying systems. This marked the beginning of a journey rooted in the ability to move goods efficiently within factories, laying the groundwork for modern intralogistics.
Contec and Uteco decided to take it a step further and merge their two companies into a single group. This led to the creation of Uteco Contec. At the same time, the company made the technological leap toward AS/RS systems. The first installations of automated stacker cranes began.
The company brings software design in-house, establishing a dedicated department for the development of custom PC and PLC solutions. This marks the beginning of the development of SAM, our proprietary WMS designed to fully optimize intralogistics flows.
To celebrate half a century of history, the company is revamping its visual identity with a modern logo and expanding its Campogalliano facility: an additional 1,400 square meters for production and assembly, along with new offices dedicated to after-sales service.
